The Speed and Thrill of Barrel Racing

Drawing on nearly 25 years of experience in marketing, Kendal A. Daiger serves as marketing director of Spruce Peak Realty in Stowe, Vermont. She is also the owner of OneL Marketing, a full service agency that specializes in marketing for educational institutions and the hospitality sector. Away from work, Kendal A. Daiger enjoys horseback riding and a variety of outdoor activities. Her passion for horses led her to competitive barrel racing and to co-found the Run for the Border, a nationally sanctioned barrel racing series in Klamath Falls, Oregon that ran for eight years.

Barrel racing is a competitive horseback-riding event that is as exhilarating as it is easy to understand. The main objective of barrel racing is simply to enter one side of the playing field, direct the horse around three barrels, then exit the opposite side of the arena. As one might expect, individual barrel racing runs are lightning-quick affairs that require speed and skill from both rider and horse. Average times for a run range between 17 and 19 seconds. The world record for barrel racing belongs to Carlee Pierce, who completed a run in 13.46 seconds at the 2011 National Finals Rodeo.

Development Underway on One Spruce Peak

With more than two decades of marketing experience, Kendal A. Daiger serves as the Director of Marketing at Spruce Peak Realty. In this position, Kendal A. Daiger is charged with promoting One Spruce Peak, a development comprised of luxury residences located in Stowe, Vermont.

Currently in development, One Spruce Peak will include 27 residences across 117,000 square feet of space. These dwellings will consist of several layouts, including five townhomes with three or four bedrooms, six four-bedroom units, and 13 three-bedroom residences. Three penthouses, each with five bedrooms, will also be available. The architect behind the development is the San Francisco-based Bull Stockwell Allen, while TruexCullins is handling interior design.

Spruce Peak Realty’s president referred to One Spruce Peak as the culmination of the company’s 15 years of work; it has previously built Mountain Cabins and Club Residences, and Spruce Peak Village Townhomes, which sold its units for a combined $34 million. One Spruce Peak is planned to be complete in 2021.
